Most people automatically associate transgenders as being homosexual but that is just not the case.
There are at least 4 very different groups of transgender/transsexuals (people who have the desire to change genders) and each group will have very different reasons for requesting a surgical gender change. None, however, are the result of any in vitro hormone brain wash; they evolve from childhood trauma, abuse or neglect.
1. The "homosexual transgender" driven and aroused by a same sex attraction disorder.
2. The "delusional transgender" driven by a delusional disorder, i.e., false perception of one’s gender identity.
3. The "autogynephilic transgender" driven and aroused by a disordered image of themselves as being a woman.
4. The "asexual transgender" with no sexual motivation, just the desire to live as a female.
It is possible to resolve the disordered thinking for each of the 4 groups, but only if the transgender has a real desire to turn his life around by applying good, sound therapeutic psychological counseling. This is contrary to popular thinking that the answer is surgical intervention to change genders, but surgery all too often leads to regret, depression and suicide.
Most transgenders are hell-bent on self-destruction. Some surgeons are ready to help. They persuade you to give them a boat load of money to remove perfectly good body parts so you can change your identity. That’s a sure fire way to destroy your life. Changing genders surgically produces high rates of suicides and the number of transgender regretters is growing. Unfortunately, even more are standing in the wings to add their names to the list of those playing Russian roulette with gender surgery.
The surgeon has nothing to lose. Sadly, that is not the case for the transgender.
