It is exhausting trying to follow all the different views we see advanced about how to test for a transgender.
Let's see, we got some who focus on "brain" gender. They say gender is between the ears, not between the legs and yikes, that conjures a visual that is a bit repugnant.
Then we have others who focus on chromosomes and genes and say that an anomoly found there is the formula for developing a transgender. But that's only a wonderful theory that cannot be proved, at least as yet.
The simplest thing DNA can tell us is the person's gender, but transgenders don't want DNA to be used, even though the courts in the USA use DNA to convict criminal, because using the DNA test could potentially raise serious questions about the psychological stability of transgenders.
Then you have some who say transgenders have Gender Dysphoria and need surgery to "cure" them. So they have their little male rod and reel removed and replaced with a less intrusive receptacle, but is this really necessary?
No matter what the view of what a transgender is or is not, the fact is they commit suicide at a rate of 31% percent. Perhaps what is between the ears needs treatment for suicide prevention rather than surgery to remove the trusty old male rod and reel.
Just something to consider.
